Impressed by Kildare today, although it has to be said that was an awful Donegal performance. They must have kicked 15 or 16 wides, I lost count.

Positives from Kildare were McGrillen who was immense, the experimental half-back line who all did well, Doyle looking very fresh and on form on his

He has more quality than is evident up there and could score 20 goals I think. He could also get sent off in the derby mind you. Big gamble for the Bhoys given their financial situation but I suppose they'll sell heaps of jerseys. Kamara is a very good signing too I think. He'll do damage up there. - Geezer followed my advice (previous post) and picked Rainbow in the forwards. He was immense until injured

- Flynn : man of the match for me. We now seem to have a better-balanced midfield partnership

- Kavanagh, O'Neill and Ennis all looked sharper in attack and took some great points, particularly second half

- Discipline much better in the face of physical Tipp team and an appalling referee

Holders St. Mary's, Edenderry are through to the semi-finals of the Leinster Colleges SFC 'A' following a hard-earned 1-11 to 1-8 victory over Dublin's St. Benildus.

The visitors to Ballyfore got off to a flying start when Colm Egan scored an excellent goal. But the Offaly students, who were narrowly beaten by Jack O'Connor's Colaiste na Sceilge in last year's Hogan Cup decider, roared back to lead by 1-9 to 1-3 at the break.

Ok lads, so the league is only 6 days away.

Our perfromance against Louth was not good, however we played with 14 men for most of the second half and despite not playing well we

were in it right up until 3 minutes to go when the blunder happened.

Mikey Conway,JD,Morgan Flats,Callaghan,Smith all unavailable.

Rumours of a half time dust up.

Roli,Paudie not showing good form.

Should we be worried about the coming League?

Is getting out of division 2 now part of the agenda or are ...

Kevin Martin made a winning start to his reign as Westmeath manager when the Lake County edged out Down by 0-19 to 0-18 in Kinnegad. The Clonkill pair Andrew Mitchell and Brendan Murtagh scored 0-13 between them as the home side recovered from a slow start to progress to the last-four.

Westmeath's second quarter recovery saw them lead by 0-12 to 0-8 at half-time, but ...
