Well done to the lads tonight on a good win playing a nice brand of football.
Just goes to show, when Kildare teams are prepared properly we have the players to compete with most teams.

Good result. Here's hoping we get another big performance in the final. There's no reason we can't look forward to it with a bit of optimism.

Very good team performance and very controlled throughout. The most pleasing thing about the game was the skilful brand of football we played. The changes before the game certainly worked and our midfield was much improved.
We actually looked like we have a few natural forwards who can run up a winning score. Thought Healy had a very good game as did Flynn. Kelly's 2nd half point was worth the admission alone and he is one of the few bright lights on the senior team.
All in all a very good night.

Well done to all, nice to see a Kildare team playing good football, tactically astute, players making good decisions and standing up when it was needed.

Goes to show that we can produce players as good if not better than what is around us, Meath were supposed to have far more Senior players in their team but they were comprehensively out played.

A boost for the County no doubt. Looking forward to the final.

I feel somewhat vindicated this morning in my claim that we are producing as good of footballers as the teams that are currently beating us at Senior level at the moment.

Well done to all and a much needed shot on the arm Heaping even more pressure on Ryan too might I add.

Great win. Good to see a decent Kildare crowd turn up. Thought Niall Kelly was head and shoulders above everyone on the pitch. His intelligence on the ball puts a lot of senior players to shame. He really is a class act. Flynn and Duke were excellent too. The keeper Heeney looks very good.

Dublin didn't have it all their own way against Longford, conceding 3 goals in the process. It's not the strongest U21 team Dublin have ever had.

Great to get the win playing a good brand of football along with showing a few guts and passion. This also shows that we have some kind of talent coming through at each level.

It should be a bit of an advantage for us if the final is in Portlaoise having played our 2 games there already. Having said that, the Dubs probably won't mind the big pitch either.

The great thing about last night was I felt we improved a lot from the Offaly match. We'll probably have to improve again to match Dublin who have a good team and a lethal full-forwatd line (particularly if Costello is back). Our full-forward line looked really good last night as well so it should be a good match.

Hearing Navan in two weeks!!!!

Team played well last night. A few times in the first half we got to their 21 yard line and seemed to run out of ideas but this was rectified in the second half with lads running directly at goals. First goal came directly from this but have to say the Ref blocking the Meath back did help open things up.
The team improved on the first game with the forward line holding onto a lot more ball that came into them. Need to work a bit harder on the opposition kick out but worked our own very well at times.

Says Navan on Leinster GAA website, pity, would have preferred it in Portlaoise. Great performance last night, thought the half back line for Kildare were excellent and set a really solid platform from which to win the game. Flynn and Kelly were excellent and took their chances very well when they got them. Dublin can't be great defensively, conceding 3 goals last night, I believe their forwards are very good though. No such thing as a bad Dublin team at underage so will be a massive achievement to beat them but from what I have seen our lads are well capable of doing it.

Wink Taibi, You say" its not the strongest Dublin Team ever ".. Are they not defending AI Champions, with a good few Fellas still there from last Year ??.. Didnt they win the AI Minor at this Age Group ?

If it is fixed for Navan, thats a huge plus for the Dubs, as would Portlaoise have being for Us.

On the Match last Night.. Great win, and some exellent Performances, especially our Half Back line.. Held our own in Mid Fiekl, and the Full Forward line impressed.. Id be a bit worried about our Half forward line, as the Dublin Half Back line is very strong.

Memo to Jason.. Play the u21's against Laois. Wink

Just had a look at the All Ireland Betting.. Dublin 13/8.. Kildare 14/1... No Match Betting yet, but I would imagine the Dubs will be a short price.

Well done last night lads. Rossies will be a serious outfit in this c/ship. Cavan beaten up north, Monaghan will be strong as they were in the minor final 2 years ago . So a lot of good teams left.

listening to kildare under 21 manager saying they reached their goal getting to a leinster final.

I don't know what way to view this statement, it could be a good ploy to lower the expectations and hopefully win the title or it might come across as accepting defeat as a foregone result and might even demoralise the team.

Like Jason Ryan regulary does, why do these managers have to be making silly statements to the press prior to major matches.  Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

We are in a decent spot.. After some of the disasters in the u21 Championship in previous Years.. why not play it down a bit.. Dublin will be Hot Favs, and we are probably not expected to keep it Kicked out to them.. But Murph will be confident they can Win this.. and I think we can.

(2/7) Dublin v Kildare (100/30)

Paddy Power doesn't believe we have much of a chance on Thursday night.

I think we're in with a good shout. Any word on any injuries starting line up?
Hopefully a good crowd will go even though they put it in navan.
