If we lose to laois that group of players will have to wait up to 4 weeks to play again. That's  if they have the stomach for it. I won't be surprised to hear that 2 or 3 others have decided to take the plane.

Qualifier would be 20th or 27th June - not sure which day we are out but it's not 4 weeks...assuming we lose to a team we beat less than 2 months ago of course.

I would be absolutely shocked if we bet Laois.

Eh... we beat them about six weeks ago. On their home pitch.

Look I understand it's a dangerous fixture and I'd see it as about 50-50. Just think the negativity is getting out of hand.

It's been the same with the minors and under-21s - building the likes of Offaly (8 years since their last senior win in Leinster) and Laois up to be world beaters we should be terrified of. Bookies have us about 3rd in Leinster. I would have Laois on the same level as us but not better, certainly not on the basis of hammering a poor Div 4 team. We are in grave danger of talking ourselves into a deeper crisis than it is (and it's bad enough anyway). Truth is because of the poverty in Leinster we are still capable of reaching a Leinster Semi and on a given day beating any opponent other thanDubs. Even Meath, if we had the right tactics and manager, are not miles ahead of us. A little better but not miles.

That's my Maytime view - it may change in June :-)

Iv heard now that David hyland is off to America as well. It's looking like a bad league is heading straight into a bad championship campaign. Hugh Mcgrillin saw the writing on the wall a long time ago as I suspect did Foley. No effort made to get feely back from England.
I'll complaint but still be there to support the players who are putting in the effort to represent us.

If players are going to America for the summer and management are aware of this early in the year why have them on the panel in the first place, give someone who will be here the chance ( and the benifit of the training, well if they is any benifit ).

I ask the same question again
