Not sure what the split was in terms of how many JTB lads were on it and how many Clogherinkeroe lads were on the team but all the JTB lads are being exposed to senior championship.
Well done to the Balyna lads, took out Sarsfields a fancied Maynooth team and Athy to win it so nobody can have any arguments as to their merit as champions.

+ 1

But of course even more important than that is that if you're a member of a club you want to represent that club because it's who and what you are and it means something to you to represent you're people.

I think the setup with the championship this year seemed to work well. All sections seemed to be very competitive.

I believe that a couple of well known forwads are unavailable to Bryan Murphy due to work college etc. Which is a pity as I reckon we could have a good chance this term.

that's a huge concern Seamus for Kildare GAA...i presumed that the colleges would be ok with time off for their inter county players ?...whatever about the private/public sector !!

or have the players at last realised that their future is more important than the GAA...???

were these guys regulars through the 16's, minors etc ? if so it's a huge pity 'cos they have obviously put in the hard yards....

Would be well known and were important part of the 2013 minor team.
It's a pity.. would it happen in Dublin I ask ?
We have lads posted to kilkenny. Galway and cork with the army who live close to the curragh and this is a pity if we lose players from it.

Seamus - can you tell us who the unavailable players are? That 2013 minor team had some very talented forwards - it would be a shame if some are unavailable for the Under-21s.

I read recently that they are cutting the Hastings Cup to 8 teams (from 16) so I don't know if we will be in it next year.

I think the eight teams competing in the Hastings Cup are Cavan, Leitrim, Longford, Meath, Offaly, Roscommon, Westmeath and Wicklow.

Is there a reason we're not in it ?
