Poor enough performance considering how poor the opposition were, only pulled away when subs were introduced!!

Looks like we have a strong 15. But not as strong panel wise.

Is it just me or do we seem to have an unreal amount of Flynn's playing for Kildare at the moment?

Bit harsh, they won with a B team, not bad going if you ask me especially if Clare put out a strong team.

I think it's a strong panel too, the team against Clare was basically a trial game for some lads to get on panel, our stronger subs that came on against Galway weren't even starting.

That may be true but be sure that the dubs will be a lot stronger than 3 year ago too .

With 6 weeks to go to play offaly I'd like to see our best team out and not b teams .

In fairness SM, they are cutting the panel this week so they had to give every player an opportunity to play themselves onto or off the final panel.

6 weeks is a long time, these lads have sigerson commitments to get out of the way, i wouldn't be too bothered about playing their A team in every friendly. I'd be more worried about panel members been played 4 times in a week as some were recently. Seems like a fast track to burnout.

Look Murphy had to be play them in a real game situation to see if they were up to the mark. We were 2 from 2 and in all respect to Clare they wouldn't be a strong u21 footballing county.

Those are fair points. But I'd be fairly certain murph knows his starting 15 a while now.
Imo the panel should have been cut well before now. These lads are together since October.. player's are being kept on to make up numbers in challenge matches which frees up others for college or senior commitments.. player burnout is always going to be an issue for talented individuals, especially this time of the year as fellas are involved with the u21s, colleges and senior county.

I would assume many of the lads cut will be underage again next year. In their cases I don't think it does any harm to be a part of a panel for a month or two. They get high quality intense training with the best young players in the county and some exposure to inter county competition in these pre-season tournaments.

It will be beneficial to them if they're involved more prominently next year. They will know what is required of them before committing.

Not arguing kkk. But it wouldn't encourage me. I just think it should have been cut earlier. Like I said previously I reckon that 15 is well decided on.
Bottom line is I expect great things from this squad and who am I to question the management if they get it right .
