Younger lads like that might have plans to play in America for the summer. That's why there were so few u21s involved last summer.

5 new players into the senior panel this week - Morgan O'Flaherty, Shane McNamara, Ben McCormack, Chris Healy and Con Kavanagh. Mark Sherry has decided to take a break.

There's an article with cian o neill on the Kildare now website, Shane macnamara, Morgan, con kav Healy and McCormack all in. I really like how o neill handled the Morgan situation, letting him come back from injury and regain full fitness with his club. Interestingly o Neil said several u21s were asked into panel and 3 took him up on his offer. I'd imagine lads have their summers planned and are heading stateside, but good to know he asked a fair few in. Also he says sherry is taking a break, he has niggles and cams coming up, again I like how cian is handling this situation he said he'll be keeping in close contact with sherry

I was surprised when Cian left out Morgan originally, but he has it seems got it spot on again.
A little disappointed a couple of the other U21's didn't take up the offer, but you are only young once so you can't blame them.

I think Cian has done an excellent job so far and he decisions are proving correct.

Its a joke really, 4 teams going down is way too much and besides teams need more games not less.

P.s. Celbridgelad, Im a clane man well done today.

It is 5 teams going down Rob and possibly 6 depending on how the playoff goes but I agree to relegate that many teams in one go is harsh, it could have been done over 2 years and that would have been fairer.

Just looking through the results most games seem to be close no more than two scores usually, rob11 we were a bit more clinical but probably through my cockiness underestimated yee, Confey and Leixlip with another 2 good wins this week, anymore results?

5 down automatically is very harsh.. I'm assuming it's 5 down from div 2 aswell  ?

Every game is like a championship match.

Every point is very precious this year SM, some teams are still sitting on no points, I believe they are JTB, Towers, Monasterevin and Allenwood and already they are looking under serious threat despite the fact that we are only 1/3 of the way through the league. I think most teams are eyeing up survival first and foremost this year with a league final for the two teams that get there no more that an added bonus.

Teams 3- 6 from Div 2 stay in Div 2 next season...Team 1 goes to Div 1 AND team 2 are in a playoff with team 12 in Div 1

Remainder are headed for Div 3

12 teams in Div 1

10 teams Div 2 - 4

What are the chances 4 teams end up on the same points and there will be multiple play off games !

Senior Football League games fixed for 11.30am on Sunday morning.
Fixtures are a nightmare I know, but you'd have to question the CCC as to what their thinking is behind this.

Why are the times of the games been changed next Sunday. At least if people were informed as to why it might be understandable.
