Just one for note well done to the powers that be for changing the time of the game on Sunday to suit the Ireland game - wonder if it was a round of Senior League games or a championship match would the Kildare Co board have changed - don't think so!!!

Rathcoffey - Suncroft brought forward to this afternoon. Short notice but at least it was done. Not sure if that's across the board.

Sarsfields 2.14 Leixlip 1.07

Real game of two halves here with the Sash overturning a 3 point half time deficit to run out winners, as I am sure was the case at most games today, there was a strong wind which Sarsfields used well in the 2nd half.

Leixlip missed a few chances towards the end of the first half which would have seen them go in with a much helathier lead than the 3 points they did have, Sarsfields got a goal early in the second half and used that as the platform to build their lead.

Having played both Leixlip and Confey in the last two weekends, I can see only one winner of that championship game, no disrespect to Leixlip at all but Confey were very impressive last weekend.

Id agree with you topcat, although leixlip are improving and fair play to them because they were really poor for a few years, Confey are just that couple of steps ahead of them in development. Although I heard they are missing half a team at the moment, but most teams are in same boat

Must have been a good game between yourselves and Moorefield today?

If kildare lose their first round of qualifiers , where does that leave our championship.
Will it start again the week after the league.

When I checked the website yesterday evening, all fixtures were down for Saturday at 6, check this morning and they are now Sunday at 6 (horrible time for all involved), Athy v Castledermot is still on Saturday, was there not a rule in place that the last 2 rounds in the league all games must start at the same time?

Correct, last 2 rounds should be played at the same time. Last year some of the last round games were not played at the same time if they did effect the top or bottom of the league but with so many teams been relegated this year they should be played at the same time.

Carbury beat Celbridge in the league tonight 1-15 to 2-8. The two teams agreed to change it to tonight as both teams have other plans for the weekend.

So lads who do we think is gonna reach league final. 3 horse race between athy Confey and sash. And in fairness they have been the 3 standout teams. League has petered out for us as well as larries leixlip and naas. Moorefield are showing some late form

Sarsfields need either Confey or Athy to slip up and neither have particularly difficult games so one would have to expect an Athy v Confey final. Sarsfields last two games are away to Moorefield and celbridge so we are far from guaranteed 4 points ourselves.

I wouldn't be too worried against us at the moment few injuries and lads away. If Confey get over Naas this weekend they are nailed on

That puts them top on 23 with a game v JTB to come, Athy have 22 with I think Castledermot and Allenwood to play and Sarsfields have 21 with Moorefield and Celbridge to play

Looking very much like a Confey v Athy, although if Kildare lose to Offaly and JTB are fighting for their place in Div 1 with their county players that could be a tricky one but Sarsfields have an incredibly tough run in going to both Moorefield and Celbridge so every chance Sash will drop points in one of those games.

Just back from the Moorefield v Sarsfields match, Moorefield won 2.11 to 0.15, great game.

2 things though, Fergal Barry had a nightmare game, really some strange calls and it's disheartening to see 6 county players on the sideline not allowed to play, particularly the lads who did not play last weekend ( Smith, Flynn, O'Connor, and Houlihan who only played for a few minutes ), you would think a game like tonight would have done them the world of good.

Robertstown 0-3 to 2-13 Milltown. Sad how far Robertstown have fallen over the last couple of years. Same too with Ballykelly. Cappagh haven't pushed on from last year and seem to have gone backwards. And Ardclough are having a hard time back in senior football. Getting some awful hidings and they have given alot of walkovers too which is not good to see. Junior football is in a poor state in Kildare.

If Clane were to beat Castledermot, Towers beat Carbury and JTB beat Confey the four teams would be on 10 points. Is it on points difference then??
