Any word on when the senior club championship will resume, weekend 06/07 Aug or 13/14 Aug.

I see the Div 1 league final is scheduled of Sunday 01 Aug.

League final is Sunday 31st July - championship resumption will depend on county minors progress or otherwise and whether clubs are prepared to play without them, Any club that wishes to field the minors will probably play the weekend of 12/14 August, whereas the others will play the following weekend the 19/21 August.

Good chance to make a senior final with winner of Kildare-Louth/Wicklow playing Meath-Offaly/Wexford in semi-final. In other words Portlaoise and Dublin superclub nominees on the other side. Same scenario in intermediate with semi-final being Kildare-Longford/Laois v Meath-Wicklow/Wxford in last four. And junior sounds fun, wouldn't get complacent though, is that part-financed by Leinster council as sounds expensive for a small club?

Looking forward to getting into the swing of the club champ again. Last years county final was up there with Dublin Mayo drawn game as the most gripping game of the last few years. Had everything.

Championship matches are to be split over the 2 weekends of the 6th and 13th, with most of the club's who have county minors involved on the 1st weekend.. gives them a better break before the AI semi should they win.

Hopefully fixtures are released early this week, especially for clubs playing the first weekend, clubs deserve at least 2 weeks prep time, many clubs will have students on their panels who have to take whatever shifts they can get from their employer and need as much time as possible to arrange that work.

Agree though, even supporters that work weekends have to plan their time off, so the earlier the fixtures are out the better.

I think its a good idea playing the games over two weekends also, at least you have a better chance of getting to a few games.

Id say the Leixlip and Confey lads won't be too happy about getting brought down to newbridge, was half hoping that game would be in our club.
If I was to give predictions on this round id say:
Castledermot by 2
Laurence's by 10+
Sash 7+
Athy 10+
Carbury +2
Hopefully we will just shade Naas
Confey +2 but this is the game that stands out to me
Moores to just shade jtb

For what it's worth!

Castledermot by 3
Larries by 15
Sash by 6 - Maynooth were our toughest opponents last year bar Athy in the final so can't take anything for granted
Athy by 6
Carbury by 8
Celbridge by 7
Confey by 5
Moorefield by 6

Anyone else think its very unfair that both Athy and Kilcock are out the 1st weekend, only one week after a league final?
