Anyone heard of the CB splitting the first round of the senior and intermediate championships over two weekends (bank hol) to accommodate all matches being double headers in Conleths/Hawfield?

Is this happening? Again putting players out by changing dates 3 weeks in advance?

Haven't heard anything but would be surprised if clubs/county management agreed to this. Club teams have already planned around the dates they were previously given plus it'd mess up things for Cian O'Neill & co if he had some county players missing one weekend and others missing the next. There are a round of SFL matches fixed for the bank holiday Monday, 6th June, too.

Most championship matches, especially the senior were played in hawkfield or newbridge last term.. mainly for financial reasons I'd say.

Wins for Rheban and Kilcullen this eve in Newbridge. Second game was a much better contest. Rathcoffey win v Robertstown a reward for their good start to year.

JFC Results

Group A
Rheban 2-8 to 0-13 Milltown
Kildangan 0-14 to 1-10 Ballykelly

Group B
Kilcullen 0-11 to 0-9 Grange
Rathcoffey 1-8 to 1-7 Robertstown
Cappagh 1-11 to 1-4 Ardclough

Great wins for Rathcoffey and Kildangan. Anybody could win this championship. Although the standard is poor to be fair.

Great result for Kildangan, delighted for them. Massive win for Rheban too, if they can keep their discipline in check, they'll go close.

The standard is atrocious. There's a massive gap in standard between the JFC and IFC, most evidenced by Castlemitchell's struggles in Division 2 this year.

Didn't see the Kildangan result coming, Ballykelly and Kildangan are joined at underage and Ballykelly would be seen as the stronger partner

Any idea when the fixtures for the 1st round of the senior and intermediate championships will be out,
some people, like me, work weekends and need to work around my teams fixture.

These senior league games on a Sunday are knocking the shite outa us .  And I'd say we're not alone.
It's fair embarrassing when your opponents have 15 subs, and we have ONE, and we're at home. Embarassed

I agree.  Fellas need to know to work around availability in advance.

Think charging €10 was very excessive for Junior matches over the weekend. Sunday's game didn't even have the full compliment of officials with only one umpire one end.

Sarsfields lads reckon their game will be on the Sunday at 7, not sure where they got that info from or how reliable it is.

Sunday at 7 is an awful time, the lads will hardly get to go out for a few pints afterwards

Draft set of champ fixtures sent to he clubs this morning.

All games fixed for the wknd of the 27th May.

Looks like the clubs stood their ground re moving games back a week that didn't impact the county team

Most games on in newbridge, on the Sunday athy and us at 5:15 followed by sash and carbury at 7. I think clane were the only other ground to get a senior game
