- Interesting read. tommy callaghan interview with cian o Neill in the leader today.. looking like we'll be at full strength against the biffos.
Read the article (don't think it's online) He said Dan Flynn and Keith Cribbin are back in full training while Niall Kelly, Ciaran Fitzpatrick and Cathal McNally should be back training soon and should be available for the semi-final. Kevin Feely is making good progress from his shoulder break but is unlkely to be back for the semi. Paul Cribbin is a big worry with a knee injury he picked up during the Wexford match. It's hard to say when he'll be back. Daryl Flynn is also injured. Matty Byrne has left the squad for now and Ray Cahill was invited in for training but he couldn't commit. |

| Westmeath it is. They beat Offaly by a point today, 0-13 to 0-12! |

| Another shit game to watch in Croke Park so. This game should be on in O'Connor Park or toss for home venue. At least you might get an atmosphere than could give players energy and generate a good game. |

| They can charge extra for the double header. We'll be told unless we play in Croke Park there will be no crumbs from the Leinster Council's table for all the paupers in the province at the end of the year. |

| I'm more confident now we're playing WM. |

Really don't get this logic. We've beaten Offaly on all 7 occasions we've played them in the last 10 years and Westmeath have consistently been better than them in the championship over that time. WM are a considerably tougher test. Reached a Leinster Final last year (our last one was 7 years ago now) beating Meath en route (a Meath team that's beaten us in two semi finals in recent times). Don't get me wrong I still believe we should win this game but the odds look a bit generous for Westmeath. A lot depends on the availability of N Kelly, D Flynn and P Cribbin. While the latter was poor the last day and the team suffered as a result we need him operating on all cylinders and definitely need the forward power of the other two to try to stitch together defence and attack better. |

| While I'm sure your stats are correct crofter, I just feared an offaly with momentum (had they won), and that wouldn't fear us. I agree our odds look very short indeed. |

| Think WM have their momentum back now with the county on a high after performances of their hurlers (senior and u-21) and they seem to have taken great heart from beating Offaly for the first time in donkeys in Mullingar. Don't get any sense that they fear Kildare and why should they? We should be narrow favourites at best. |

| If Peter Kelly can tie up Heslin, we will win comfortably but he is better than anything Wexford had to offer. Not sure if the broken nose he picked up after the game will keep Kieran Martin out but if it does, he will be a huge loss for them.
If Cribben does miss out he is a big loss as we don't have a like for like replacement for him, with Feely out as well our midfield will probably have to be Moolick and Paidi O Neill? Not fantastic mobility there! |

| We should not take WM for granted as Cork did against Tipperary you have to make sure right from the off that its a championship match and giving any team a lead and ahead of steam you could be in trouble. I still think Kildare will win but going by the last day it wont be pretty |

| I'd have Westmeath slight favourites. Would actually be a little surprised if we won given the injury situation. |

How do you know Cork took Tipperary for granted? |
