With a little over 2 weeks to go, it's starting to worry me a bit going into this one.. at 1/6 the bookies are certainly more confident than I am.
I know we should have no fear of Wexford, and I suppose if we can't beat them in croker, we might as well pack it in.. are clare that much ahead of Wexford ?.

You'd hope having got out of Division 3 that we will have enough to beat a team who couldn't get out of Division 4 but our recent Croke Park record makes for depressing reading and wouldn't give you much confidence against anyone.

I'd be hopeful that a fully fit Niall Kelly and Neil Flynn would score enough between them to help us run up a winning score. However I'd be very worried that our inability to tackle properly would let Wexford in for a few handy goals. If they manage that it could be a very tough game for us.
Hopefully the return of Doyle and Morgan Flats can improve matters in the defense. It's a pity now that we have some decent young forwards that we have become so porous at the back.

It would be an understatement if I said I was worried. As murof said the hope I have is that Doyle and Morgan can shore it up enough at the back to keep our noses in front.

Croke Park is a grave yard to Kildare teams, we have more corpses buried up there than in the Naas Grave yard. It would be no surprise if we added to the body count in a couple of weeks.

Fair few negative Nancy's hear. We will bate the yellow bellies with ease. We haven't lost a championship game to inferior opposition since Louth in 2010. If we lose I'll present the first episode of next seasons match of the day in my boxers

We lost the only chance of silverware v clare, but that doesn't matter as it was only the league.

See Fitzpatrick is out until mid-July. If anything happens Peter Kelly, Hyland or Ollie Lyons I'm left scratching my head about who we'll play in the full-back line.

Notwithstanding that, all those above saying they think we'll lose should lump on at 6-1.

No one is saying we will lose, only that on our current form its very hard to be confident about our defense being good enough. Not to many thought we would lose to Clare after beating them a few weeks earlier.
I'm a betting man but have never backed against Kildare and never will.

Eoin Powderly is a capable replacement. In fact, I'd start him in the corner against Wexford with Lyons moving out to the wing in place of Houlihan.

The half-back line is by far the weakest line on this team, something has to be done to stop runners, neither Houlihan or Conway are capable of this.

Throw in the defeat to Sligo, and the narrow win over limerick and it's hard to be over confident against anyone.
Like murof I'd never back against kildare, but I wouldn't be backing them to often either.

Without doubt by a double-figure margin.

Kildare.
I have a lot of faith in our manager and think we have enough scoring forwards to outscore Wexford.

Kildare do not meet a team higher than div 3 or 4 to reach Leinster final a shoe in

Not surprised by Corley when they're after bringing Shane McNamara into the panel but very strange that McCormack is gone already? He was fantastic for the U21s. Is that all thats expected to be cut? I was expecting 4/5.

The Sunday Game Live - Fixtures 2016
All games live on RTÉ One
Saturday, 21 May
7.15pm Dublin v Wexford (Leinster Hurling Quarter Final)

No viewing for us abroad so. Don't get me wrong, don't mind RTE not covering a Division 3 against a Division 4 team, but when you've to play warm-up to this rubbish that gets live treatment. Next the Dublin under-14 camogie team will be the main event when the "other" All Ireland semi-final is on.

Wexford is a hurling county. Dublin are a Division 1 team. Game is on in Dublin. Given that this was down for a doubleheader, its perfectly acceptable to me that the Div 3 v Div 4 footballers would be the first game.

Panel announced - Corley, L. Healy, McCormack gone.

Chris Healy is in. So too McGrillen a bit surprised by that one.
