I'd say so TC, and Kelly also has a tendency to drop deep into the playmaker role.. I'd have started healy and Flynn inside.

Ogie

In WH v OY game Pul Sharry played midfield the whole game and specialised in off the ball hits for a lot of the first half targeting one OY midfielder...... He will probably target Conway for this treatment on Sunday. Lets hope Conway keeps the head ( The OY lad involved kept the head until after the final whistle !!!!)

Sorry Ogie I wasn't doubting for one minute that the managager had a plan. I suggested weeks ago that he was using the league to try out a lot of players. It's just that a lot of posters thought he should have implented it earlier in the league, the final might have been a good option.

No need to be apologising to me murof, and sorry if it sounded like I was being dismissive. Would hope to see some improvement tomorrow.

So did the Indo. To be fair there's a strong argument for that to happen. I'm remaining optimistic - Kildare by 3.

Maybe...

I challenge anyone to find a more abject , pathetic , gutless performance .

Can't think of anymore adjectives to describe it.

Were going to lose this and deserve to. I don't know what we are doing in training but we are not training lads to play football at any decent tempo.

Utterly pathetic . No will or drive to win. No leaders.

One paced and that being slow. No intensity . Almost as if we don't want to win

We were hammering teams of Wexford and Westmeath's level last year. We've gone a long way back.

Utterly utterly pathetic . Embarrassing.

Each and every single player should be embarrassed by merely showing up at croker today. Massive questions have to be asked of the line , maybe even more than the players

Painful to watch. Doesn't even bare thinking about what the Dubs would have done to us.

Sloppy passing. Bad shooting. No intensity. Even looking at the body language of players, you wouldn't think they were playing a championship game at all. There's something gone badly wrong.

Into the backdoor now. At least we won't face another trip to the dreaded half empty Croke Park for a while. Every cloud...

Sad. Really sad to see what we have become.

The Westmeath number 2 was literally laughing in Neill Flynn's face after a few wides, and he just stood there and took it. Hardly surprising we're called soft by other counties. Gutless.

Morgan O'Flaherty who is a good defender playing in the forwards while Ray Cahill is sitting at home.

Wouldn't be too hard on Cian O'Neill either, we don't have the players. End of.

Restart the club championships for fuck sake.

Oh, if someone could burn Croke Park to the ground, that'd be great.

The pain watching that. My god we are poor in every aspect of the game kicking handling tackling etc. I don't know where we go from here it was like we didn't want it. Also playing this game in Croke park it was like a training game behind closed doors.

Absolutely shocking, absolutely clueless, no passion, no intensity. That is not how Kildare play football, players looked like they hadnt a clue where to be , what to do. Manager must take the blame or s*** tactics. After that performance O'neill must go. Three year plan my eye. Not alone were players likeless it actually looked they were all totally unfit.
