Thsts fair enough. Clearly Clane knew they were not winning yesterday. Save the two lads. They are two of the best players on the minor team. Im sure they wont be missing from a relegation playoff and rightly so.

The above attitude beggars belief.

Someone on another thread said two senior clubs had only 3 subs at the weekend. They'll be lucky to field a team in a few years if this carry on continues. Non county players are going abroad for the summer rather than sticking around to be made fools out of and who can blame them.

Grassroots my bollocks.

Playing county minors wont solve issue of players being in US while Championship on here. By delaying club championships over past few years due to county team playing relatively late in summer meant lads could get couple of months in US and return home and Championship only up and running. More lads went, a trend created. Contacts made. Kildare out early this year - lads still away. More to life than football.

It's degrading the club game by not allowing these players to play. Lads will think why should I bother sticking around when county players, managers and administrators have such a fly by night attitude towards the club game.

There certainly is more to life than football. The way things are going, there's a hell of a lot more things more important than football.

Very quiet here considering whats coming on Sunday. Ill start it off by saying we are up against it on Sunday. Witnessed this Kerry team in the flesh and from 8 to 15 they are excellent. One chink might be the defence though.  I just hope we leave it all on the field this year unlike the semi with Tipp Last year.

Our strengths also 8-15 in my view. Think we'll be approaching game with a lot less pressure as semi against Tipp last year where we were favourites. Haven't see Kerry but like everybody else I've heard a lot about them, still think regardless of how good they are if we perform we'll give them a rattle

Kerry conceded 2-10 to derry, so there's definitely a perceived weakness at the back.. it'll probably come down to the midfield battle as it often does at underage.

Anyone know what sort of midfield Kerry have? As a county they normally produce mobile players who are good all round footballers. I thought our lads looked quite immobile against Mayo, while both are obviously good footballers. If Kerry have mobility around the middle we'll be in trouble.

That lad Clifford may wear 11 but was 14 in colleges final.... Destroyed the opposition without seeming to break a sweat....... They are supposed to be a great team but this Kildare team aint half bad ,,,,,,,,

Best of luck to the lads tomorrow. A lot has been said about the Kerry forwards but some of our play has been excellent as well.
It's going to be tough but I think we've a good chance if we play to our potential.
