Decent work out, second half a lot better with the ball being moved more quickly. Still vulnerable through the middle which is where their goal came from. But all in all considering the lads we were missing it was positive.

On a lighter note pardon the pun but I thought we were going to be asked to turn on our mobile phone flashlights to cut through the gloom at one stage. Another 10 minutes and they would have needed to use the force.

Quick one someone on here might be able to tell me - when was the last time Kildare played at home in the Leinster Championship?

I recall it being a Saturday evening game live on RTE with Micko in the commentary box. Colin Kelly's accurate freetaking did most of the damage. Kildare wore a rather curious looking black collar on their jerseys.

Agreed, they've a few players back for this one who missed a lot of league games, keeping 15 on the pitch for the 70 minutes will help them a lot also.

Maybe so. But there's a shocking attitude with them, and a whole lot of nepotism.

Always big and strong down the middle with a couple of accurate forwards who given time and space could rack up a big score. But their attitude is terrible, their discipline shocking and their fitness nowhere near where the top teams are at. They'll do well to get a thousand fans in to watch them. I think it'll be close enough and I'd fancy Longford to just edge it.
