I wouldn't expect anything less from a Monasterevin man, Seamus.

Better than Dublin championship. Next round in October. Few midweek games under lights after work.
Some teams were out of championship in late april. League div 1 final in dublin was on in mid December. Ours was in august. Kildare is nt half as bad as some make out.

But i dont think in general dublin clubs are banking on a recommencement of there championship in October  , but its good i would percieve to have two rounds under the belt , could have easily been managed in Kildare over the last few weeks , ie back to back rounds in May

It would suit the club player and I am sure that the county player wouldnt mind either getting a few games in the club championship, to give back to their club who have fostered their county aspirations.

each to their own opinion I suppose

Eadestown losing in the league to a junior club tonight, worrying signs, surely in line for relegation..

Kilcock 0 11
Kilcullen 0 6

A weakened Kilcock the better side. They will only improve as they welcone back 5 or 6 lads as the summer goes on

JFC

Caragh 0-12 to 1-7 Rathcoffey

Cappagh 0-12 to 1-9 Ballykelly

I also see Milltown beat Eadestown in the league. Eadestown look to be in big trouble. Could end up in Junior football in a few years if they continue this slide.

I doubt they will...they got to a minor B final in 2016, won Div 2 or 3 of the minor league this year and have one of the top 4 minor teams in the county for next yr to come through so once they can hang on in either Senior or Intermediate they will have lots of talent coming through

Lomond that's the cycle of the small club I'm afraid, often enough when clubs have bursts of talent every 5/6 years as opposed to constant flows like Sarsfields or Moorefield, they end up slipping downwards before the youngsters intergrate

Some fascinating ties there alright, ourselves and Celbridge one of the standouts, Celbridge going better than us in the league and beat us without Paddy Brophy in the league game so will probably go in as favourites, either way both teams will still be in the competition after this game so it is a chance for one of the two teams to get a massive boost in confidence early in the season.

If the county men keep injury free and on form JTB should be a serious threat.
Celbridge having Brophy back is massive too.
A lot of the games could be swung by lads in with county, which is as it should be.
I was told Roli is playing B legague football...first off God help the poor divil marking him...and second is he stepping away from seniors? (Or is my source talking poo?!
