Roli is playing B football but I fully expect him to be with the first team come the business end of things.

Straffan will beat TMH to send them into the relegation semis.

Calling it.

For the less confident of us, I would reckon we are looking at championship starting back on weekend of 21/22nd Aug so a lot can change between now and then, given the long gap that would leave for Div1 teams between the end of league, getting into the top 4 and reaching a league semi final is vital.

true topcat. an extra competitive game would be useful. will county players be available to play semi and final? you would have to fancy moores if county players are unavailable as they don't have any .
but as you said alot can change between now and August 21 st.

if your suspended as a player for a fixture , are you allowed into the dressing room , take the warm up and act as a selector for the fixture ? or are you not allowed on the field .
Does anyone know what the rule is . ?

Kevin's vs Rathangan should be good. I also fancy Straffan to beat TMH. Cloghs vs Nurney could be interesting.

Sarsno1 if it's a playing ban for one match that's the only restriction. Can train away or be in dressing room etc. If it's a time ban think all other Gaa activity is excluded

I believe the next round are provisionally fixed for the weekend of August 12th/13th depends on how we're doing at County level.

If we lose against the dubs we play Sat 29th, if we won that we would play Sat 5th august...(Both sky GAMES), Assuming we get to and lose a qtr final I would say a 2 week break is the usual

Wow that's shocking. Ballykelly are in a bad place but being unable to field a team for championship is pathetic.Junior football is dire in this county. Ballymore head and shoulders above the rest.

That's an awful shame, but not surprising, and they won't be the only ones in difficulty... I'd say the reserve championship could be a disaster altogether with first teams so stretched...
The recent monasterevin v maynooth SFL div 2 match saw monasterevin with no sub and maynooth had 2 subs.

I think ballykelly have a lot of players on holiday...they probably got 6 days notice for this fixture in fairness to them..hopefully it can be rearranged..

Why can't the CB issue a break period of 2 or 3 weeks in the summer for all GAA matches and do this in January.. that way all players and club teams could schedule holidays etc for that time knowing there wouldn't be any matches.

Surely county board will give clubs more than a weeks prep time for a championship match?

If we beat Armagh, then we're out again v Tyrone on Saturday 5th of August.. should we beat Tyrone, we wouldn't play until the 27th of August.
