Next year when we have the Super 8 etc and the calendar is going to be tighter the players are going to have to get used to be playing each week be it with County or club so we might as well start now..

Is there any reason why the intermediate championship couldn't be played the weekend of the 12th and the senior the following weekend  ?.. our lads recently played 3 league games in 6 days

Ballymore hit with a number of big players on holidays and injured for the past month, most of which have returned or are soon to return, they have still finished third in div.3 and beat TMH in the last round, I'd say on a full team which I think they are to have, there's no one close to them in the JFC

Was looking at the fixtures on the website. The League Finals are fixed for the 13th August in Newbridge at 1-30pm and 3pm. There's a round of the senior hurling championship fixed for the weekend 25-26 Aug. Looking at that, more than likely the week of the 20th would be the next round of the club championship.

Well they may have a noon throw-in with Buckfast on the sidelines to appease the youths!

Looking at the fixtures for Senior Sarsfields and Celbridge should be a cracker. Plenty of interesting match-ups overall mind.

It wasn't pretty, it was never going to be.. but good to be progressing, but there won't be too many teams worried

Big win for Kill today. Am I right in saying that's their first championship win outside of the relegation play-offs in 6 years?

Another pasting for Ballykelly today. Not surprised they couldn't field 15 in their last game, must be a form of torture togging out for them.

No, they beat Sallins in round 2 last year, prior to that it was 4 yrs in a row in the relegation dogifght. They are an intermediate team 25 years now since they beat Kilcullen in the 1992 Junior final. Longest team in the championship by my reckoning

Just seeing this now. We did, but mainly based on Clogherinkoe's recent league results but they had a few players back yesterday whereas we were missing 4 or 5 regulars. Horrible game, but they were worthy winners in the end.

Great result for Suncroft yesterday, not many would've predicted them turning over Ballyteague.

Suncroft played 13 league games and didn't win one and will play Division 4 football next year, but are 2 from 2 in the championship. Mad stuff. Eoghan Lawless is an excellent player for them, his pace is frightening.

@Iomond: Forgot that. Prior to that win last year, they're last win put them into a semi-final in 2011. Ballyteague must be Intermediate for a while now?
