Are the championship q finals an open draw ?.

I'm going for Leixlip, Sash, Carbury and Confey for the weekend.

No, the 4 winners this weekend play the 4 Round 2 winners............teams that played each other previously can't meet again!

Is this fact ?.
I was told it's an open draw with teams who previously met not meeting.

I think in the first year of this format they allowed repeat pairings but they haven't in any year since. If Sarsfields beat Castledermot whatever draw they get (Athy, Jtb or Moores) should be a great contest.

Gut-wrenching defeat for us. Fair play to clane. I really do not understand how we lost that. Hugely disappointing.....

No senior draw until after the Confey V Towers replay on Wed night.
Tough draw for the four favourites for the intermediate.

St. Kevin's V Raheens
Clogherinkoe V Two Mile House
Suncroft V Monasterevin
Kilcock V Ballyteague

Cracking q final line up.. Kevins v Raheens would be a worthy Final let alone a Quarter Final.
Hard to pick winner in all the match ups.

I would take it that all 4 S.F.C. quarters finals will now be played on Saturday 16th September, ( allowing for the All Ireland on the Sunday ).

I went to Newbridge before I headed to hawkfield for our game v naas... refs in Newbridge were bad and hawkfield was no better

I was at both games in Newbridge and didn't see much wrong with the ref's. First game in particular looked to be a nightmare to referee.

I'll give kilcock to be comfortable.. A hesitant vote to Kevin's and TMH.. and an even more hesitant vote to Monasterevin.
I'll stick with Confey for the replay.

I'd expect Ballymore and Roberstown to advance from the Junior A semi finals.

I hear all is not well in the camp over the decision to f** up the Hurling semi finals by pulling them in a week without any consultation with the clubs involved. Doubt it would happen to the football championship if the roles were reversed.

I think they had no other choice(bad planning initially), weren't some senior football QF's meant to be on this weekend instead?...but because of Towers/Confey draw..that was scuppered.

The whole structure was based on none of the four Round 3 games finishing level? You couldn't make it up. Those games should have been played the previous weekend along with the IFC Round 3 games to allow for replays. Or just play extra-time. It's not rocket science!

The Round 3 games should have made provision for extra time to ensure a result on the day. Now it seems that it looks like some games will need to be played under lights to recover the situation as well as messing up the Hurling teams preparations for their championship semi finals and also asking one Club to play two crunch games in four days.

Massive win for Towers tonight, they were very comfortable throughout. Glenn has done a great job there with a very young team. I expect them to give Athy a good rattle.

JTB will beat Clane easily. Moores will beat a Sarsfields team who are on the slide. Celbridge should have too much for Naas.

Towers certainly took full advantage of Confey's short comings with their short kickouts, they must have coughed up 6 or 7 points from this ? I was surprised Confey didn't use the long kickouts more, they had some good fielders.

Well Larries and Leixlip are two who didn't and they're in the quarter finals on merit. Yes they prob. aren't the strongest team but one thing for sure it's been a joy watching Brian McLoughlin playing and here's hoping that he continues to develop at the rate he's going.

Four Quarter Finals Sat. week.
