Was at both games yesterday. First game was poor stuff, kilcock just got over the line in the end. Courtney at midfield from kilcock best player on show between both games. Monasterevan were never uncomfortable v the croft

Not sure about that bigball.. Monasterevin only got going in the 2nd half against the gale.

Daniel Courtney and Shane O Rourke were very good for Kilcock.

Absolutely.. I'm expecting a real battle with Kilcock, and hoping our scoring improves again, as it will need to.

I'm tipping the Cloghs in the other one.

When you see managers and parents running onto the pitch then it's time to make sure that they never walk through the gates of a gaa pitch again.

It's up to the lads and the ref to sort it out amongst themselves. Adults should never come onto the pitch.

Garda vetting procedures obviously need to be tightened up.

In fairness Garda vetting only checks if you have any history. The clubs need to step in too at times like this.
Any adult that enters the pitch during an underage game and lays a hand on a player has to be banned for life.
Any more details on this? Is it being reported on locally?

It will probably be swept under the carpet. In this county it always is.

From what I could tell most of the trouble seemed to occur outside the railings. Very unsavoury stuff. Management appeared to be trying to separate the youngsters and I'm fairly certainly I did not see any parent enter the field and lay a hand on a player Flamingo?

Oh no that was a general stance to be fair. I wasn't clear there in fairness, didn't mean it to sound like it happened in this case.

Who are "the lads" and how is the ref supposed to stop lunatics arguing in the stand? ? And I don't believe it will be swept under the carpet I believe both clubs will be in bother with the county board

The match report has him going off after 38 mins and I think it was the hamstring. At club level Keith is arguably their main man down the years in terms of his work rate and you always know what you get. Would be a big loss.

Any other news about the weekend?

Read the match report of that U16 final in the Nationalist, seems like a few adults would be better off staying away from underage gaa games, at least until they can control their violent urges.

Johnny Byrne got a straight red tonight so he'll miss the final. Based on that you'd have to give Eadestown a great chance of staying up.

Can't argue with that and no matter how they match up in a semi they would all be serious games.

Johnstownbridge already look safe. 1-12 to 0-5 now in the 2nd half after a missed peno.
Keith Cribbin hopefully to come back yet.

A big big win for Athy too. Athy 0-21 to Towers 0-6.

Was always likely to be the four but if you did an accumulator bet you one would let you down.

Two good semi's to come. Moore's and Athy have had plenty of battles in the past so it will be fascinating to watch. JTB will put it up to Celbridge. Interesting that the two clubs with the most senior players on the county panel will lock horns and it will be a great spectacle no doubt.

Can't wait for two weeks time.

Well done to Glenn on the year, Athy are really good all over the pitch however.

Hawkfield is not a suitable venue for quarter finals however, got down there at 4 45 and couldnt get a seat. Also saw oaps having to stand, the facilities are not good there.
