Re Black Cards, can he do like the soccer lads and take a cheap card to clear them?

Don’t understand P Kelly getting another full game rather than give namesake Mikey another chance to show what he’s got. Surely Cian knows everything there is to know about Peter.

Anyone know what the story is with Niall Kelly, Dan Flynn and Paddy Brophy... their absence from both line-ups a bit worrying with Dublin on the horizon.

Still plenty of interesting aspects to the line-up..looking forward to seeing Jimmy in a senior outing. McLoughlin found it very hard going on Wednesday showing it’s quite a step up even at O’Byrne Cup
level.

If Hyland doesn’t make it at senior level I’ll be surprised.

Ps. Kevin Feely has three black cards within 12 months now (again).. anyone know why he’s not suspended? O’Byrne Cup not count perhaps?
black cards in o Bryne cup do not count

I think the black card rule is a calendar year rule so everything is back to zero on January 1st.

I could be wrong on that though and it is the case that pre season comps don’t count.

here in longford another pathetic performance. continuing on from louth game last week and Armagh last year. 11 mins into 2nd half no score and 5 points down.

some of these superstar kildare players need to come back down to earth

20 days until the Dubs in Croker who haven't lost there since 2014. We warm up for it by losing comfortably to Louth and Longford.

Monaghan Tyrone Mayo and Galway will define whether we survive or not . Not counting on it .

Step away from the panic button Xavi ! Not good but with rotation and training that's going on at the moment it's nothing to overly worry about just yet. As you say yourself we'll be doing well to get anything from Dublin game and following games will decide our Div 1 fate

Not worried about both results. It's the performance and execution I felt was abysmal . I didn't see one new comer put their hand up to be retained . And more worryingly some of the old guard going through the motions.

I decided after the Armagh game that i wont go watch them anymore. Bottlers and cowards is all they are. Much prefer to follow the club scene than go watch those bottlers.

Not sure what to say to that last post, but it's the 7th of January. I've no problem saying that I've overreacted in the past to defeats at this time of the year but we all know today mattered for nothing. Win or lose it won't make a difference come the league. We have Dublin first up and that even that game is not the important one, its more a free swing. The following week will be far more important.

Forget about today, its not worth getting worked up about.
I have every confidence that we'll be in far better shape in three weeks.

On a separate note where are Niall Kelly and Ben McCormack. Injured or college or something else?

Last year I got upset after our best team lost to Dublin third team. A few weeks later we were top of Div 2 and heading for promotion.
We have a few weeks to sort things out before our first winnable game at home. Let's keep the faith until the real football starts.

2 poor performances by all accounts but Kildare Year will not be defined by what happens in the O Byrne Cup. It would have been nice to get an extra game or two before Dublin but it is what it is.

We now have 3 weeks to iron out whatever kinks are there before we play Dublin a game we probably won’t win but it would be nice to be competitive. Monaghan the following week will be big asi believe they are on a similar level to us and their ambition will be to stay up.

No not really.. ratings in my match report for what it’s worth.

Hyland did his hamstring.

O’Neill didn’t mention Niall Kelly or Ben in his interview even though he spoke about Brophy, D Hyland and Doyle having come back from injuries and Conway and McNally having been injured against Louth.

Anyone know the story with those two?
