I was disappointed to read O'Neills comments about Feely getting a belt off the ball. So many problems to deal with and this is what makes the headline. It just sounded like we were sore losers.
I think the what most people would like to see is a kildare team that would die with their boots on. When's the last time we saw that?

It wasn't a belt off the ball, he fell to the ground and McCauley came running in and connected to his head with his knee. Only he knows if it was accidental or not.

Wasn't the last time McQuillan in Newbridge he had "issues" getting back to the dressing room. That journalist Fogarty called the Kildare support sheep because he got told a few home truths by a few those supporters.

No doubt it will turn into the Joe Show at some stage

Probably the Tyrone match in 2013 or even the Donegal match in 2011 Sad

I got a good view of the Feely knee to the head and my first impression was that McCauley went to do him and after seen it again I was right a dirty belt that could of done a lot of damage.

Just a thought .. Luke Flynn at full back. Conway at centre back. Paul Cribben into midfield. Dan at centre forward and Paddy at full forward.

Yes flour.
Hylo at wing back.. be good on breaking balls.
I'd move Niall onto the FF line.

Possibility that McManus might be playing on sunday. Would make it a much tougher game if so.

If McManus plays, I'd be pretty worried tbh. We have not shown the ability to deal with top forwards. We had full advance warning about Jamie Clarke last summer and he destroyed Lyons – who'd also been roasted by Bernard Brogan the previous day (when Con O'Callaghan also ran riot).

But if ever we're going to show some balls and really step up to Div 1, this is the time.

Good news re Feely. He still has to be doubtful for Sunday though. A calf injury for a fielding midfielder is as serious as it gets.

Haven't seen any further references to McManus anywhere, I still think it's hard to see him playing.

Anyway, even if he is, we need to get on with it. If we get stuck in and play with a hard edge for 80 mins we have enough quality to win this. The players can't lack for motivation - everyone is writing them off after the Dublin game. Hope they shove those words down people's throats over the next couple of weeks.

With the small pitch in Conleths i dont see mcmanus being as dangerous as he would be in say Croker. I think we'll bottle him him up if he plays and if Doyle Sweeps. Sill whoever picks him up will have a tough task. Did Hyland pick him up last time we played them in croker dont think he did much that day?

Keep hearing this down the years. Does it really make any difference? I can't see it to be honest.

Croke Park 144m x 91m
Conleths 140m x 83m

You are talking 2m at either end and 4m at the sides. Its hardly massive enough to make a difference.

Not sure how much you've played on it Sam but back when i played it was a very tight pitch and definitely felt much smaller than other pitches around the couty like Clane or Sarsfields
