12 of whom started v Armagh...

He’s loyal to a fault.

You could argue other players have not really stepped up in the interim.

2 defenders in the half forward line, 5 of the regulars in defense. Either he is loyal to a fault or that's all we have. Had hoped for something different but still should be enough to beat Carlow. After that not so sure.

You could argue not many have been tried. Or at least try different positioning. We kept the same player at full back for every last minute of the league campaign. I don’t like to pick on him as he’s a good player but I don’t think the majority on here would pick him at full back. Or Brophy as a third midfielder. Or Conway as a wing forward.

Team picked is exactly as I predicted above.

We are playing Carlow and we have two defenders in the half forwards. Can't get my head around that.

Complete hatchet job from Tomás Ó Sé on Cian O’Neill in today’s Indo. If his view is representative of those who have played under CON it does confirm a lot of the feelings I’d have about his management. Heaps further pressure on tomorrow.

Spoken to many in Kerry about this. It is representative. Not saying right or wrong, just the opinion down there from players to coaching staff.

He says O'Neill waffles but it has to be acknowledged that Tomas waffles an awful lot himself. Fair to say as a pundit, he makes a great footballer.

Paul Galvin was actually very complimentary about him last year... I thought O'Se's column was a load of nonsense tbh, as it usually is. For such great players, he and Darragh are generally terrible analysts.

Hard hitting but I couldn't really disagree with any of it. Manager and team should read it and prove they are better than that. Tomorrow would be a good place to start.

Liam Hayes who is actually a proper journalist and doesn't just get it ghost written like all of the O Se brothers (including Marc) also complimentary today.

Not that players don't need boot up hole tomorrow, mind.

If I was managing Kildare, I would be selectively informing them of how they've been discussed around the country this past month. "Are you really going to stand for this?"

If they aren't absolutely bulling to go out and rip Carlow's heads off (on the scoreboard) there's no hope for them.

Normally I don't get as worked up about these matches as Dublin or Meath games but everything about the build-up - from the snarky previews to Turlough O'Brien - has irritated me. We certainly don't lack for motivation.

Let's go out and pulverise them.
