Kildare county boards idea of fundraising is have 90% of club championship matches in hawkfield or conleths.
A complete joke especially for junior games.

Maybe they could move Kilcullen games to Parnell Park to get the crowds in?

Apparently Kilcullen GAA agitating for referendum to allow the town to rejoin the Pale... Also holding a special reenacment of Brogan's 2011 dive on Saturday morning, all welcome.

"This stuff about us being pathetic Dublin lapdogs is a joke," said the club chairman. "I'll speak my mind on any subject John Bosstello tells me to."

Kilcullen team announced for first round of championship... Should put accusations of being Dublin sycophants to bed:

S Cluxton; P McMahon, J Cooper, M Fitzsimons; J McCarthy, C O'Sullivan, J McCaffrey; B Fenton, MD Macauley; N Scully, C Kilkenny, C O'Callaghan; P Mannion, P Andrews, D Rock

Stand also being rechristened "Hill 16" for the match

John O'Leary was in Kildangan GAA the other week showing off Sam to the kids. Kildangan GAA handed him €300 for his troubles.

Sickening.

Mayo supporters: "We've never bowed to the Dubs and we never will."

Kilcullen GAA: "Are you okay Mr Brogan? Would you like some more tea Mr Brogan? Is there anything else we can do you for Mr Brogan?"

Imagine how the Senior Kildare players feel with this shite going on? It certainly wouldn't inspire those who don the white into battle! Kilcullen GAA should be ashamed. Being a Leixlip person we were and are often tarnished as 'wannabe dubs'. Well ladies and gentlemen I'm proud to say that a stunt like this would never be allowed and has never happened in Leixlip. At least we mark our heritage with 1928 by naming a bridge after the great Matt Goff!! Stunts like this one in Kilcullen and in Clane last year are a massive middle finger to everything that Kildare GAA stands for. As Tommy Keegan says we may aswell give it up.

Pathetic, shameful, would Meath stoop this low?, I think not, sometimes you find yourself wondering if it is all worth it

Surprised Bernard not opening Kurt Cobain exhibition in Newbridge as well... Maybe some of the Kilcullen & Grange lickspittles could get onto him again?

You know I listen to the Mayo GAA podcast quite a bit and they occasionally have a dig at ourselves and Meath for becoming completely spineless... It's angered me in the past but I have to admit they'd be well within their rights to hold up this sort of shite as Exhibit A.

Well, funnily enough we are not alone!! On Leinster quarter final day the Donaghmore Ashbourne club organised a bus to the Dublin v Wicklom game in Portlaoise. This was the same day as Meath were playing themselves. Similar furore on the Meath forum at the time

Inevitable. Kids today don't have that pride of place idea we had, you've to earn their attention and following with your brand (I hate that idea and word too).

Back in the 98 / 2000 the players were like hero's to many people in Kildare even when McGeeney was over them he put a bit of pride back in and the supporters got on board. At the moment there is feck all to shout about. Kids want to see the cups be it Sam Maguire or the Liam McCarthy and unfortunately our near neighbours are in possession of one. So for Kids or supporters to see those cups the baggage's comes with it.

All about the brand which is why they shipped off Diarmuid Connolly to the US for the summer. Can’t be having the kiddies idolizing a scumbag.

Why has the media not reported on this? Why is there a cover up? I see “family reasons” was cited which is bullshit.

I would rather burn my money to hand to a Dublin footballer past or present. The 1998 and 2000 teams had no respect for Dublin players and that was led by their Captain. Sam Maguire is as meaningless as an eggcup unless Kildare ever win it and then we parade to around the clubs.

We've been down this road before and we'll be down it again. Unfortunately many Kildare clubs have a high proportion of Dubs at different levels. So when they think of a presentation they default to their own and trample over the Kildare heritage of the club.
Kilcullen are shameless and alongside Grange, Clane and any other Kildare club that uses a Dub, a Mayo player or whatever other County have given two fingers to those from Kildare that built them up, devoted their time, paid their money, give sweat and blood for the jersey and had pride in the place they come from.
Kilcullen are parading a jersey in their club that is worn by people who hate Kildare football, take pleasure in demeaning the County, have no issue verbally abusing our supporters and we as Kildare people are supposed to accept this shite and say "sure the kids love it". Well f*ck that. This is my County and my heritage and it sickens me to see Kildare clubs get into bed with the devil. They should remember that when the Dubs get bored or move on and they will, those that they disrespected will be the only ones left.
