YEs it was a decent win, but lets not get carried away with it. Its not that long ago that Kildare ladies teams were contesting underage championship finals in the A GRADE. Not some B Shield.......

Its no coincidence that the senior team is struggling as a result of some rediculous coaching at U/14, U/16 and minor. SOme of the managers over the last 5 to 6 years have been clueless and this has shown. Its a known fact that the bet managers are needed at these levels in order to give the players a good base. Recent managers have been more interested in bumming up their own ego or indeed smoking fags on the line!

This slide has been coming for a few years now and nothing has been done about it. Winning all the B Shield All-Irelands in the wrold isn't going to imporve anything in this county.

one move that will certainly be in favour of ladies football would be to start commanding the weekends again, every competition this season has had to be played midweek!!! WHY??
would it be to keep camogie happy??, if so,(as i believe it is) ,who gains from this and moreso who sanctions this??
3 clubs come to mind, and each club have an officer of the county board in commanding positions.
i understood it was agreed not that long ago that ladies football would, from here on in, take centre stage as far as the county board were concerned and their only interest was to concentrate on promoting ladies football,well its a move in the right direction giving all your weekends away,by the way WHEN PLAYERS ARE PREDOMINANTLY AVAILABLE?????

Ur missing the point, this is not an All-Ireland title of any relevance. You and your CB cohorts are responsible for appointing people to manage underage teams who are not capable or coaching or managing any age level. People got jobs or positions if they were friendly to you and your buddies.

Years or lies and deciet have the level of football in this county at an all time low. The senior team wouldn't win the current junior AI. The underage competitions are a mess. As a result of all this underhandedness there has been no progression of underage talent to the senior ranks. With many promising young females opting to play camofie or basketball instead.

The buddy buddy factor has long outstayed its welcome.
I half believed (and only half) that when we rid ourselves of the rotten controllin apples of 2/3 yr ago, that we may progress,but no no no, what came along in place is equally as ruthless,underhanded and manipulitive in wantin to control and "OWN" ladies football in Kildare,only difference is its in TRIPLE FORM now,along with ther SHADOW,who ultimately is still runnin d show from a distance.Cross them and they wil go out of ther way to be rid of u.
Having said that,the clubs need to decide if they want people who wil drive ladies football forward or others who come across as all luvey dovey and wil do F*** all.
The faith of ladies football in Kildare lies firmly in ther hands,and the cohorts know this and work it to ther advantage in extreme ways.
The 16 girls did wel to win wat was thrown at them.
As stated,the past county boards "interests" or lack of them, must take full responsibility for FORCING our underage county teams to have to compete at an insignificant and unacceptable level.
Kildare ladies have missed the boat, we had a leg up over all female orientated sports and refused to promote it in a professional manner,now soccor,camogie and rugby are benefiting in kildare and ladies cricket is now about to kick in.
The mess underage domestic competitions are in speak for itself, senior domestic is equally in a mess,tonite highlights this when one of the big clubs over the yrs in ladies football fails to be able to field a team in the senior c/ship????
Its not too long ago Kildare battled with Kerry to retain div1 status, look wher relegated Kerry ar now, does this not spell it out to the knowalls?????????

IM laughing here as I reply to your latest post NMTF, not at you but at an email which has been flung out by the mob recently. Preaching to all how the Development of the game in our county will be taken to new levels by these new Development Squads. New? New? FFS these have been in existance for 20 years in the GAA, they've been tried in Kildare ladies football about 6 times now but nothing ever comes of them.
Once the so called 'senior team' starts training and playing, everything else falls by the wayside. And when they have humiliated themselves after a few weeks, all the talk turns to the underage again and how we can fix it.

As you rightly pointed out NMTF, its only a few years ago that we listened to that tear jerking speech from a 'dying man' about how he just had to step down from the chairmans position - under doctors orders of course.
A few years later and he hasn't died yet but he's still sneaking around in the background peddling his disgusting rumours and loose talk. His sidekick also pretended to step away, but he continues to lurk around in the shadows, making sneaky phonecalls with advice to the current mob. Do the current mob forget how this pair of liars were caught up in serious financial issues with the CB a few years back? And how the latter - expected the senior players to pay to play for Kildare? Citing some bullshit story of how he did it many years ago in a local paper.

UNfortunately, many people involved with ladies football in the county are family people who help out at club level out of genuine goodness. They dont have the interest or know how to tackle these guys at the top table - many if not all of whom have been spat out of the GAA and have crawled into the ladies football world and impressed with their big talk. So unfortunately I don't see things changing anytime soon. The liars will keep telling lies to keep themselves in their positions of power. And the football..........wel lthe football will just continue to be a side issue for them
