| I'm very much open to correction here but I think that after our 2008 defeat to Wicklow we applied to Croker to be allowed to play Senior players on our Junior panel. The top counties like Cork, Kerry and Dublin do not use Junior or Intermediate players at this grade. We argued that we are no longer a top County having been defeated by Wicklow. This was then used as a Senior B panel and was rather successful with the majority of players cutting their teeth at this level before making a breakthrough with the seniors examples being Ollie Lyons, Conor Brophy, Ciaran Fitzpatrick. Having won a Junior Leinster this year we are (quite rightly) deemed to be back among the stronger counties. |

| this could be a disaster for the juniors when ya start to think of the players available to them now and then the likes of aidan casey and joe kavanagh have never shown an interest in the junior set up and niall browne away in clare it wont be a patch on the team of last year |

| I think it's fair enough that we can't use senior players. I imagine players from Senior clubs will still train and be apart of the "Senior B" set up, they just won't play Championship matches.
Anyway, I wonder which players are likely to be called into the squad.
I imagine Confey will have a few, Joe Keogh impressed me this year. Darren Barker from Kilcullen, JTB have very good young lads and if their too old for U 21 they'll probably be invited to the Senior B squad.
Then you look at Junior, a strong contingent from both Robertstown and Two Mile House is probable |

| It's funny how everyone starts blaming Leinster CCC, Croke Park, Central CCC for the reason we failed to win a Junior All - Ireland last year, they are changing the rules !!! they won't allow us use Senior clubs !!!! Yet when you look at last years team we had not one single player from Sarsfield, only one from Moorefield, one from Celbridge, arguably three of the bigger clubs in the County, and when the game is slipping we bring in subs from Caragh and Castlemitchell who simply are not up to the pace of an Inter County match, yet the same management is ratified at a County board meeting without any prior notice. I respect all players who turn out for the County but i have to question some of managements selections !!! |

| Maybe the players from the three clubs you mentioned were
1. not good enough 2. did not want to play in the Junior set up 3. did not want to put the effort in
How you can slag off lads from smaller clubs who put in the work required and were deemed to be there on merit is beyond me.
Oh and I don't see anyone blaming others for the Loss last year.
