Eadestown had their clubhouse broken into and all the copper pipe from the plumbing stripped out, causing a lot of damage in the process.
It's something clubs need to be aware of as there is a €4000 excess on the insurance policy.

Actually what is the story with that €4000 excess with the insurance. Thats seems crazy altogether. And seemingly you're not allowed get any other insurance.

. I'm sorry MBP I have no opinion on the subject but I can't resist the statement "im sure Cavan gaels feel the same" only harmless banter. Don't want a barrage of abuse now.

Both town and rural clubs are being targeted. Sarsfields were done a last year too. Bar putting up cameras at a cost not much can be done. ANd of course once they see the cameras they will search for the computer saving the recordings somewhere on the ground and take the evidence. Sad

We have enlisted a Security Company to monitor our camera's, These camera's also send a alarm call to the surveillance centre , Also there are siren on the cameras , which sound when intruders enter the area under surveillance , Works very Well , and in terms of cost its very cheap , Its a pity they dont work when visiting teams pilfer results Smile

clane gaa were done last year also on the night that "strictly come dancing" was on in the clubhouse. i heard that a large sum of cash was taken from the premises. the wires for the alarm were apparently cut from inside a manhole across the road. club premises appear to be broken into on a regular basis. the lack of gardai is beginning to show now.
